| Description | Rim-sherd from a conical or straight-sided cup. Fine, pink (10 YR 8/3) clay, with decoration in black paint. Wiped with water and burnished. Band on interior of rim. Pendent concentric semicircles at rim, above bands. Comments: MM I-III. Marked "ghem B," in Greek. From Deposit B. Middle Minoan Dark-on-light Style. The quality of the dark paint suggest the MM date. The motif is common in MM IB-II in eastern Crete. For the style see MS4638.1. |
