| Description | Body-sherd from a straight-walled vessel or from the neck of a large jug or jar; three vertical rows of tiny knobs. Medium textured, red (10R 5/6) clay with light and dark inclusions, covered on exterior withblack paint, with decoration in added white paint. Added white: vertical zigzag pattern composed of thin and thick lines with dots. For a discussion of the Barbotine Ware style using knobs see Foster 1982: 26-50. The ware is very rare in eastern Crete, but is common in the cetral part of the island. As her, the textured ornament is uslally combined with painted decoration.
