| Description | Brass elephant intended to support a palanquin. Elephant = hathi (Bengali), kohti (Malar). Palanquin = rath (Bengali) or roth (Malar). Attached above the tail is the solidified funnel through which the molten brass ran as it entered the figure mold. |
