| Description | Used for funeral ceremonies, also for the 7 and 60 years festivals. Made of faded indigo dyed cotton cloth embroidered with cowrie shells. Skirt. Rectangular, separated into 7 fringed strips at bottom. Top part, 2 bands of vertically arranged shells bordered and separated by 3 bands of horizontally arranged shells. Bottom strips bordered on each side by 2 rows of vertically arranged shells. Some have zig-zag of shells down the center. |
