| Description | Light cane shaft, long palmwood forshaft, split at the upper end to receive the tanged extremity of the iron head, which is secured by a lashing of fibres and of fibre cord. The point is hastate in form, and the tang itslef bears a single thorn-like barb, which protrubedes through the lashing. The insertion of the foreshaft in the shaft is reinforced by a binding of plant cuticle which is crossed on itself at one vertical series of points; cf. the lashing of the top of the shaft of 29-58-69, which shows such crossing but not uniformly.
