| Description | Backstrap weaving and brocading, said to be of Indian yarn. Made in three pieces joined vertically. All white brocading; patterns include birds, leaves and diamonds. Trace of blueing. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 40 epi, single, Z twist, white cotton. Weft: 34 ppi, single, Z twist, white cotton. Balanced plain weave. Supplementary weft is two faced. Three panels, four selvedges each. Woven on a backstrap loom." |
