| Description | Central portion of disc has corn husks worked in a coiled basketry technique using cotton thread as weft; individual flat pieces of corn husk are pulled through the thread around the outer edge forming a "sunburst" pattern. Attached tag in Frank Speck's (?) handwriting reads: "Cherokee 1937". Condition: Corn husk is dry and brittle. Sent to Registrar's for freezing 3/91. |
