| Description | Silk tapestry woven hair band. 110cm design units at both ends with horizontal stripes of birds, animals and geometrics. Undecorated area has bands of varying lengths of red-orange or magenta silk. Both ends finished with tassels starting with ball beading followed by tinsel wrapped maguey finished with a long tassel of either purple, green or gold silk threads. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 32 epi, single, Z twist, white cotton. Weft faced plain weave. Weft faced twill and double sided tapestry weave." |
