Description

Warp: \/ wool; blue, red.

Weft \ wool; blue: Pat: \\ linen; tan.

Technique: Cloth, brocaded, app. to linen tunic with inwoven tapestry bands.

Narrow stripes of cloth brocaded with plant (?) forms alt with ovals carrying conventional pattern set off by pairs of heart-shaped petals.

Tapestry panel over two warps. Warp: \ linen; tan. Weft: \ linen; tan: \ wool; dark-blue; / wool; purple, red, two blues.

Guard bands carry wavy stem with tendrils, center band of scattered leaf forms, carrying plant of conventional patterns, with square dots between carrying crosses.
