| Description | Unfinished. Two panels stitched together, warp faced ground, flat stitch and satin stitch embroidery around circular head oopening in center. Coton and silk. Flowers, heart shapes and C and V shpaes in maroon, green, yellow, red, and purple on white ground. Selvedges finished, ends unfinished. Excellent condition. Some fraying at ends. As per Sigrid Meier: "Warp 40 single ply, Z-twist, 2 strands, white cotton. Weft: 32, single ply, Z-twist, 2 strands, white cotton. Warp plain weave, 2 panels, 2 selvedges." |
