| Description | Standing nude female figure. Painted red with blue hair. Black cylindrical headdress. Although usually identified as fertility or “concubine” figurines, the female figurines appear to be specifically connected with the goddess Hathor and her association with childbirth. Hopes for children, motherhood and family in the afterlife are embodied in these figurines. Female figurines are often linked with bed models. |
