Description

Porus stone ball. Fiber cord around slight groove. Note: "For splashing water to frighten fish toward native nets or upon the beach. This old tool was picked up in the marae at Hitiaa (heathen temple) and undoubtedly had been washed in from the beach. Was instantly identified by an aged native, Nehao, July 22, 1923."
