Animal Figurine

Tan ware, tan core; back half (?) dark gray. 13 stubs (legs?)- one missing. Stub tail (?) and hooked head (?)

This near-complete compact figurine is 6.2cm long, 2.5cm wide and 4.8cm high. Three legs are damaged to varying degrees and the left hind leg is complete. The tail has a raised hook shape and the distal end is broken. The figurine has no neck, so the face with impressed mouth emerges directly from the body. Above the face is a damaged area where there may once have been a pair of horns. The fine buff clay is uniform although there is a charred area on the left forequarters. A tentative identification of a ram may be suggested.
