| Description | Spherical stone club head (kiup). River pebble, bored with a hard stone grinder and sand. Note taper to bore. Pebble probably not shaped externally much. One of three fighting club head types. (This type= kiup; disc type= dowon; studded type = kanat. See Kirsh field notes for more data.) No longer used. owner claimed he found it in cassowary excreta at Nekyombom. Purchased from owner, Kawetok Guriweng, Bongdemkaba clan, Yogi village 4/29/89. |
