| Description | Green glazed hill jar cylindrical in shape with three small feet and relief decoration. The sides show four mountains which are symbolic of the four directions: north, east, south, and west. There are two bronze rings visible which are a survival of the rings on a bronze vessel. A hunting scene showing people (spirit men?) attacking dragons and tigers is also featured. The cover for the jar is missing. A cover, 48-2-18, formerly catalogued with this jar does not actually belong with it. |
