| Description | Two breadths. Heavily brocaded overall zigzag motif bound by five rows of red and turquoise circles and a series of alternating stripes. Multicolored: deep pink, red, blue, green, orange, blue-white, and yellow on a black background. Called "psychedelic" by the people who make them. A new style, old forms disappearing. Made on a big foot loom at Totonicapan. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 33 epi, single ply, Z twist, black cotton. Weft: 30 ppi, two singles, Z twist, white cotton. Balanced plain weave. Supplementary weft is two faced. One strip of two panels. Woven on a treadle loom." |
