| Description | Huipil with a red and white background. The upper half is brocaded. Two pieces sewn together with a decorative join stitch (randa). As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 58 epi, single ply, Z twist, white is of two strands and red is of three strands, cotton. Weft: 17 ppi, single ply, Z twist, two red and white strands combined. Warp face is plain weave. Two pieces seamed, one piece with three selvedges and one pieces with two selvedges. Woven on a backstrap loom." |
