| Description | Plain weave cotton cloth; made of four breadths of material; neck bound with blue cotton thread; overall design motif includes: stylized animals and birds, flowers, zig-zags and stripes; great variety of color (purple, blue, white, gold, pink, red, black) and texture in this hupil; purple and lavender predominate in color scheme. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 52 eppi, single, Z twist, white cotton. Weft: 26 ppi, 2 singles, Z twist, white cotton. Plain weave. Supplemental weft: 2 sided. 2 panels - 4 selvedges each. Made on a backstrap loom." |
