| Description | Fragments of a large open jar with triglyph and metope pattern on shoulder. no neck, only a rounded lip. A large section preserving profile from lower wall to upper shoulder. Three sections preserving rounded lip and shoulder area. A six non-joining fragments. Decoration in red-brown or dilute glaze on exterior; interior covered entirely with glaze. Decoration on exterior, except for mid-shoulder, in glaze bands and lines of several widths, wheel-painted. Shoulder design: "triglyph and metope." in metopes there is on one side a solid semi-circular design with short rays; on the other side a vertical line of short diagonal strokes. On the largest preserved section is part of a larger panel with a larger version of the semi-circular motif. |
