| Description | Alabastron. Mended and plastered. Most of black painted dec. worn off, only a few chips of glaze remain. Slightly flattened at base; in center, circular depression with central raised dot. Drop ovoid body; very narrow mouth; wide thick rim. One small band handle with hole left for suspension. From incision and remaining glaze dec. is determinable: around base, rosette. On body, large lion and large boar with incised rosettes in ground. Tongue pattern around neck; radiating strokes on top of rim; dots on side of rim. Fine clay, fairly thick fabric. Fired yellow-buff. |
