| Description | CBS Register: Terracotta lamp, said to come from Syria, boy stretched on ground and harp. PBS XVI: Lamp molded in two pieces, with one stamped relief on the upper, -and sometimes one on the lower part. This type of lamp belongs to the Graeco-Parthian period, and most of the subjects are Greek. Here the winged Eros reclining on a couch, plays on a small kithara. An orb on two inverted horns forms an appropriate frame. |
