| Description | Palm; plaited wiht complex under-over pattern; red achiote designs on exterior accentuate pattern made by weave; top round, bottom square; double rim of palm leaf strips wound with cord and, on exterior, palm strips braided and finished off. Used in varied-serving food, etc; worn as hats by little girls during part of initiation rites. |
