| Description | Sherd from amphora.A: Wedding procession (?) To left, man and woman in quadriga proceeding to right. Next, l. to r., a young man (Apollo?) playing the lyre. Then, girl facing left. At head of horses at right is a male figure (Hermes?) wearing high boots and a pointed cap (pileus). B: A warrior hurling a spear at a fallen opponent; at each side a woman stands watching the contest. |
