| Description | "Axum" embroidered gown of white cotton. Its shape is similar to that of a caftan except that it has long cuffed sleeves. Each cuff has a band of large herringbone embroidery in black and dark green with red, blue, and orange interspersed. This same herringbone design extends down the length of the gown in a vertical stripe beginning at the base of the V neckline. The bottom hem of the gown in a vertical stripe beginning at the base of the V neckline. The bottom hem of the gown has a dyed band of green with blue borders. |
