| Description | Fairly heavy wood; crude carving. Back is concave with a lug carved in back of head, Figure in full relief with projecting beak forming body and ending in a snake's head (?); it and feet are attached to a crocodile head (?) at bottom. Tassels of fiber attached through holes in body and snake; on each side of nose area; and through ears. Head ends in a "top-knot" which is perforated. Painted (mostly worn off) with white designs. |
