| Description | Piece of tridacna shell, pierced and half-ground down. This is the half-way stage in manufactureing the tridacna arm rings (67-5-77,92,93). Several generations since these rings have been ground. This specimen is as much a curiosity in the islands now as it is interesting as a document of an extinct technology. |
