| Description | Cylindrical basket with slightly expanding sides. Made of split roots of the spruce tree, fine weave, natural color. Decorated with upper and lower bands of straw false embroidery in a "shaman's hat" pattern in orange. Central band of three rows of checker board in black and natural colors. Natural Indian dyes. Technical notes: twined, close twined, two-strand, in-between weave (with plain), three-strand, wrapped weft ("false embroidery"). 17 warps, 22 wefts per square inch. Bottom in between. |
