| Description | Sash for a small boy. Red cotton with three, dark blue pin stripes. Brocaded in three horizontal bands of chevrons in rose, green, orange, purple, blue and white silk. Red cotton thread- synthetic dye (Robert Carlsen 1984). As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 50 epi, two singles, Z twist, red cotton. Four singles, Z twist, blue cotton. Weft: 16 ppi, four singles, Z twist, red cotton. Warp faced plain weave. Supplementary weft is singled faced. Woven on a backstrap loom." |
