| Description | Cylindrical basket with slightly expanding sides and an inverted bottom. The basket is separated into three sections of open work, cross-warp weaving in an eye-hole design. Two close twined bands are woven between the open work and feature false embroidery "leaves of fireweed" patterns pointing in opposite directions. Technical notes: twined, open and close twined, cross-warp, two-strand, three-strand, wrapped weft ("false embroidery"). 15 warps, 16 wefts per square inch. Bottom in between. |
