| Description | Vermeule: Pale yellow sard. Intaglio. (Modern gilt ring setting) Kneeling warrior with circular shield, wears Corinthian helmet and carries spear over right shoulder. Falls right. Wears a Hellenistic cuirass and a sheathed sword hands from side. Perhaps also Ajax, cf. the previous (1064). 18th century, in pseudo-Italic style. |
