| Description | CBS Register: fragment of weathered limestone statue. Sumer. Woman. Eyes were inlaid. UE VI: statue, fragment, white limestone; the head, left shoulder, and most of left arm preserved; the eyes were originally inlaid. Apparently a female figure, the hair dressed in a heavy roll across the forehead, the top of the head smooth, traces of long locks on the shoulders; no sign of drapery. The surface and softer parts of the stone are much decayed and the character of the work has suffered greatly. |
