Description

Chilkat dancing blanket finger woven; warp of wool-wrapped cedar bark and wool weft. Pentagonal five sided shape with broad black and yellow framing bands enclosing central design on white ground. Design in yellow, black, white, and teal. A central bear figure is flanked on either side by killer whales facing inward. Long warp fringe in natural wool color is kept in place by two widely spaced rows of weft twinning.
