It is curious to note that this remedy is recommended both in the Herbarium of Apuleius and in the bencao (本草), the Chinese pharmacopoeia, as a remedy for the effects of drunken debauch. From Guangdong province. Value at Ningbo, $12 per picul. Dried brown twigs, stems and leaves.
