| Description | A decoy bird trap. The wire cage and base of the trap are laced with leaves and a bird, usually a dove (nok khao นกเขา), is placed inside the cage. This attracts another bird that is caught in a net when it lands on the wood part that triggers the net to come down. The wire cage is attached to a thick central piece of wood. The bottom of the cage has bamboo bars. Small bars hold a U-shaped piece of bamboo in place. The net is attached to the U-shaped piece which snaps down on the bird trapping it. |
