| Description | 19th century CE pastiche of 6th century BCE components; body like that of a fish with wings or fins; female head in rectangular plaque on front, large neck, mouth, and handle from a bucchero trefoil-mouth oinochoe. Fabric: dark grey core, fine-grained with flecks of mica around spout. Chipped rim, tail and handle. Technique: front section molded, rear and rim sections thrown. Lower panel molded separately, tooled, and attached. Handle, wings, feet and tail handmade and attached. Carefully burnished. |
