| Description | The rest proper is supported by a ring which itself stands upright on a quadrangular base, the whole carved out of one piece of wood. Cf. the headrest in Edge-Partington, Album I, pl. 119, fig. 3, which is of similar structure but has two "struts" crossing each other diagonally in the opening beneath the rest proper. See 29-93-25. |
