| Description | Partially gilt bronze image of Manjusri, a famous bodhisattva believed to have lived about 250 years after Sakyamuni (the historical Buddha) and regarded as a personification of transcendental wisdom. He is shown holding a ruyi scepter and seated on a lion, with his right foot extended, resting on a lotus attached to the animal's riding gear. |
