| Description | Statuette: Mercury. Very worn patina is black with traces of green. Left ankle was broken and repaired. Nude figure except for a shawl hanging over right shoulder and down over left arm. Holds a kerykeion in left hand. Right is extended and notched to hold another object, probably a purse. Stands on right leg, swinging left to the side. Wears a tall concave hat surmounted by a flat disc. |
