| Description | Plain wooden shaft, iron spiral of three turns at butt. The blade, small and leaf-shaped passes insensibly into the shank which is round in cross-section immediately behind the blade, but of rectangular cross-section through the greater part of its length. The latter portion is ornamented with incised cross-ridges separating small oval areas. The socket portion of the shank is cone-shaped, round in cross-section, ornamented with shallow grooves and chevrons. |
