| Description | All decoration in mottled pink over black glaze. In center of front: a standing, fully draped male figure facing left, arms covered by garment. Below is a ground line encircling the vessel. Above is a narrow panel of key (?) pattern. Below missing handle at back is a palmette; on either side of palmette is an elaborate convolution of palmette foliage. On neck at center of front is a vertical, herringbone leaf pattern; fronds to left and to right. Parts of body and of back of neck and all of handle missing. Metallic black glaze. |
