| Description | Plaid sarong with figures (tembe paleka-salunka). Predyed synthetic (nggoli). Machine sewn. Made in 1983, ese Wawo hamlet. Bright green, with rows of fern shoots in 3's, alternating with rows of large roughly "W"-shaped motifs, all in red, yellow and white. Panel defined by yellow zig-zags (nagi), with rows of nested diamonds down center, again in red, yellow and white. Dark stain near top of one diamond. Yellow border stripes. |
