| Description | Woodblock print of soldiers from Sino-Japanese War of 1894-5. Japanese soldiers before baskets of sake celebrate their victory. Four tent like structures behind them with a mountain in the background. In the upper right hand corner an inscription in Japanese characters gives the title: "The Latest from the Japan-Qing War" and a longer inscritption describes the celebration. In the opposite corner the name of the artist and publisher is given: Nobukazu and Yokoyama Ryohachi. Triptych with three sheets of paper glued together. |
