| Description | Sommerville: Carnelian. A Bacchanalian, pouring out a vase of wine on an animal's head. Intaglios and Their Imprints, Case AAA. Vermeule: Carnelian. Intaglio. (Unmounted) A young satyr seated to right, on a rock, thyrsus in his left hand, his right held out over the head of a goat. He appears to hold a small cup in this hand. Graeco-Roman, in rather good style. |
