| Description | One of a series of woodblock prints with color depicting the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895. This print shows Sergeant Kawasaki Iseo (1854-1904) crossing the Taedong river. He has a rifle and is stealing a boat in the river while under fire. There are inscriptions in red in the margins and a seal and signature for the artist Yukawa Hiromitsu. |
