| Description | One of a series of woodblock prints with color depicting the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895. This print shows the Great Battle at Haiyang Island also known as the Battle of the Yalu Riverr. A Japanese ship with a flag visible is seen firing on black Chinese ships. There are inscriptions in red in the margins and a seal and signature for the artist Yukawa Hiromitsu. |
