| Description | Old cloth of two pieces with slight randa. Faded red cotton with narrow, blue stripes forming blocks. Double blue selvedge stripe. Single conventionalized double eagles, other birds and a band at each end of conventionalized plants, All in purple, yellow, green and violet silk and white, purple, green and yellow cotton. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 54 epi, two singles, Z twist, red and blue cotton. Weft: 24 ppi, two singles (blue) three singles (red), Z twist, red and blue cotton. Warp predominantly plain weave. Supplementary weft is two faced. Two panels, four selvedges each. Woven on a backstrap loom." |
