Description

Pottery: cream with black decoration. Flattened body; cylindrical neck; two small vertical handles on body.

Narrow-necked jar/bottle with a lentoid body, cylindrical neck, outward sloping rim, 2 lug handles on the body, and a ridged base. No molded/modeled additions. The vessel is painted with decorations in black. Two stripes are visible; however, much of the painted surface is faded or lost. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is buff in color.
