| Description | Vermeule: Topaz. Intaglio. (Modern silvered ring setting) Neo-Classic. Signed in Greek letters by Pichler. Female figure seated to right in contemplation, a wreath in field at left. She supports an urn probably containing the ashes of deceased one in her left hand. Style is Graeco-Roman in Neo-Classic interpretation similar to marble reliefs of Canova and Thorvaldsen. |
