| Description | Huipil of blue cotton with unsewn sides. Two panels sewn together with brocaded stitch at shoulders. Neck opening bound with embroidered stitches. 1 embroidered bird motif on back right panel, likely a marker. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 50 epi, three singles, Z twist, indigo cotton. Weft: 18 ppi, three singles, Z twist, indigo cotton. Warp faced plain weave. Supplementary weft is two sided. Two panels, four selvedges each, striped in red, purple, white and blue. Woven on a backstrap loom." |
