| Description | Sommerville: Carnelian. Fragment of a bust of Neptune, found in the Tiber. Greek and Roman Cameos, Case D. Vermeule: Canelian. Cameo. Fragmentary bust of a bearded male divinity, perhaps Neptune, Oceanus, or a similar personification. Work of late Hellenistic or Roman Periods and of extremely fine quality. Said to have been found in River Tiber. |
